Established in 1950 under the vision of Hon’ble Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad, the College stands as a leading institution offering quality undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. programs in Arts, Science, Commerce and Law, serving nearly 15000 students and admitting 6500 annually.

The foundation of Kayastha Pathshala traces back to the inspiring call of great nationalist Dadabhai Naoroji, who urged communities to unite for national development. Answering that call, Munshi Kali Prasad Kulbhaskar and Hargovind Dayal Srivastava established this trust to serve society — and today it runs eight educational institutions in Prayagraj alone.
CMP Degree College, the oldest and most distinguished among them, is a proud constituent of the University of Allahabad. Serving nearly 15,000 students across Arts, Science, Commerce & Law, the college remains committed to quality teaching, research, innovation, and the holistic development of its students and society.

Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Degree College (CMP Degree College), established in 1950, is one of the oldest and largest constituent colleges of the University of Allahabad, Prayagraj. Recognised by UGC and accredited with NAAC B++ grade, it stands as a beacon of academic excellence. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across Arts, Science, Commerce and Law, along with modern courses like BCA and skill-based diplomas. With approximately 15,000 students annually, it provides ICT-enabled classrooms, digital library, well-equipped laboratories and Wi-Fi campus. Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad, a visionary zamindar and philanthropist from Prayagraj, dedicated his life to social welfare and education. Believing education was the path to a self-reliant nation, he established the Chaudhary Babu Mahadev Prasad Trust in 1914, dedicating 50% of its earnings to underprivileged students.
