About
Dr. Punit Kumar Singh is the College Librarian at Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Degree College, Prayagraj, a Constituent P. G. College of the University of Allahabad. He was formerly a Professional Assistant at the Central Library of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, where he served from May 2007 to January 2018.
He completed his M.A. in Library and Information Science from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, and his M.Phil. (LIS) from Alagappa University, Karaikudi. He holds a PhD, along with additional qualifications including M.Sc. (Chemistry), MLIS, and PGDCA.
Dr. Singh has more than fifteen years of experience in library automation, including the technical processing of documents. He is well versed in library automation software such as NewGenLib, LibSys, and SOUL 2.0, barcode software like Bartender, and digital library & institutional repository software such as DSpace.
