Dr. Govind Gaurav is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at C.M.P. Degree College in the University of Allahabad, India. He did M.A. in Political Science and was awarded the gold medal for securing the first position in the university. He qualified UGC-NET and was awarded UGC Research Fellowship. He completed Ph.D. in Political Science from Banaras Hindu University in 2016. His specializations are International Relations, Diplomacy, Strategic Studies, Asia-Pacific Studies, Indo-Pacific Studies, South Asia Studies, Indian Foreign Policy etc. He received “UGC Best Paper Presenter Award” in 2013 and “ICWA Best Research Paper Award” in 2015. |

He was a discussant in the India-China Track-II Dialogue and participated in various national foreign policy discussions. He was honoured with the “National Youth Leadership Award” by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is also the winner of several national-level debates, elocution and essay competitions. He has ten years of teaching experience. He also served as an Assistant Professor of Political Science (on a contractual basis) for the B.A.LL.B course in the Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University. His 17 research papers are published in international and national refereed/UGC-CARE listed journals and two articles are published in national magazines. He authored a book entitled “The United States, China and the Contest for Supremacy in the Asia-Pacific” and also edited a book “India@75: Democracy, Diplomacy and Development”. He wrote six chapters in different reference books. He also contributed one module to the Course Study Material for M.A. in International Relations for IDOL, University of Mumbai. He presented papers in 30 international and national seminars and participated in four Faculty Development Programmes and five workshops. He also organized two National Seminars and seven workshops/FDPs. He is a Life Member of the “Indian Political Science Association” (IPSA) and a Member of “American Centre”. He was Co-Coordinator of IQAC of the College (2019-21) and is currently Co-Coordinator of NAAC, Co-Convener of ICT Cell and Co-Convener of the Centre for the Vocational Studies and Skill Development of the College and Managing Editor of Research Communications Journal. |
