Dr. Surendra Pal Singh

Dr. Surendra Pal Singh did M.A. in Sanskrit and was awarded JRF from UGC, New Delhi. He completed D.Phil. in Sanskrit from the University of Allahabad in 1993. He also did Aacharya in Pali and Senior Diploma in Music.

He has 22 years of teaching experience. His more than 60 research papers are published in various National Refereed Journals and Seminar Proceedings. He authored seven books, in which 'Jatakvimarsh' in 2003, 'Shruyate Na Tu Drishyate' in 2014, 'Laxmikantayshobhushanam' in 2015 and 'Utarprashnam' in 2017 was awarded by U.P. Sanskrit Sansthan.

He also directed and acted in various Sanskrit Dramas like 'Malvikagnimitram', 'Shruyate Na Tu Drishyate', 'Ashtamsarg', etc.

Dr. Singh was a member of U.P. Sanskrit Sansthan in 2003 and was the convener of various Sanskrit Teaching Centres of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan. He is editor of the renowned Sanskrit Journal, Vangmay (ISSN 22780084). He was awarded the title of "Sanskrit Mahamahopadhyay" in 2017 by Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Prayag. Honourable Governor of U.P. also honoured him with a Special Award of One Lac rupees for his contributions in the field of Sanskrit in a programme organized by U.P. Sanskrit Sansthan.

He is Secretary of Trivenika Sanskrit Parishad, Allahabad. He is also Vice-President of AUCCTA (Allahabad University Constituent Colleges Teachers’ Association).
