Dr. Rakesh Kumar got M.Sc. his degree in 1997 and D.Phil. degree in 2006 from University of Allahabad. He is working in the area of Quantum Optics and his research interest is Non-classical features of Optical fields (like squeezing, antibunching, collapses and revivals, amplitude-squared squeezing, atomic squeezing etc.), Recently, I am working on application of non-classical Optical fields in quantum information theory.
He is recipient of M.N.Saha Gold Medal for securing first position in M.Sc. He has been awarded with the Junior Research Fellowship of UGC. He has been conferred with Teacher fellowship from INSA, IAS and NASI.
His more than fifteen research publications, published in international/national journals and conference proceedings. He has more than twenty years of experience in teaching. Before joining the C.M.P. Degree College he was working as Associate Professor of Physics in Udai Pratap College, Varanasi. He also received research award from U.G.C. to establish research facilities in U.P. College. Two students are likely to submit their Ph.D thesis under Dr. Kumar’s supervision.
He is life member of Indian Laser Association, Indian Physics Association.
