Dr. Nilesh Kumar Rai

Dr. Nilesh Kumar Rai has a D.Phil. from University of Allahabad, Allahabad, India in Laser Spectroscopy:Laser Induced Breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS). Dr.Rai’s research specializations and interests are in the field ofNon-linear optics and Laser Spectroscopy:Laser induced Breakdown spectroscopy, Femtosecond Stimulated Raman spectroscopy and Transient Absorption Spectroscopy. He has published verity of publications in the reputed international/national journals.He has also presented research papers in many international/national conferences in India and abroad as well. Presently, he is involved with some selected problems related to the field of basic science, Nano science and applied science using optical spectroscopy: LIBS and Raman spectroscopy.

Prior to joining Department of Physics, C.M.P College, Allahabad, India as an assistant professor, he was an assistant professor in school of Engineering at Avantika University, Ujjain, M.P., India. He has a long experience of teaching/research at many reputed institutions: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal, Indiaand Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. He has also been awarded two prestigious post-doctoral fellowships: Dr. D. S. Kothari-post-doctoral fellowship, UGC New Delhi, India and CSIR-Research Associate, New Delhi, India.He has worked asa Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on the project of SASE-DRDO, Chandigarh, India. He has also qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by Joint UCG-CSIR, New Delhi.He is member of many academic associations and societies.
