Advertisement for the post of Research Assistant

Applications are invited on a plain paper for the one position of “Research Assistant” purely on temporary basis for a period of three years in a project titled “Isolation and characterization of microbial strains relevant to Sulfonylurea herbicides bioremediation” (File No. CST/CHEM/D 2264) sponsored by the Council of Science & Technology, UP (CSTUP) Lucknow.

The tenure of the fellowship will be co-terminus with the scheme and the stipend payable will be Rs. 20,000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 22,000 per month for the third year as per CSTUP guidelines.

Essential qualifications: The candidates must have M.Sc. in Botany/Biotechnology/Life Science (with a minimum of 55% for general and OBC, and 50% for SC and ST at PG level).

Desirable qualification: A candidate having research experience in microbiology and molecular biology with respect to microbial bioremediation as evidenced by published research papers will be preferred. 

Age Limit: The upper age limit shall be 28 years (relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to ST/SC/PH/OBC and females).
