Awareness Programme on “Free Legal Aid Services”

An awareness programme on “Free Legal Aid Services” was conducted at the Department of Law, C.M.P. Degree College, Prayagraj on 27th July, 2022 through the joint efforts of Legal Aid & Services Clinic, C.M.P. Degree College, Prayagraj & District Legal Services Authority, Prayagraj. The Chief guest for the occasion was Dr. Lucky, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority who highlighted the importance of Right to Free Legal Aid provided under Art. 39A of the Constitution. He impressed upon the fact that people related to legal profession should facilitate in the process of giving free legal aid to the needy and destitute. This Constitutional objective would be achieved only when the people from legal profession will develop an emotional understanding of the cause.

Shri R. P. Singh, Additional District Judge, Prayagraj was the guest of Honour who talked about the importance of such awareness programmes in order to help the marginalised sections of the society. The guests were welcomed by Dr. Shiv Shankar Singh, Associate Professor, Department of Law, C.M.P. Degree College and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Ajay Pratap Singh, Convenor, Department of Law, C.M.P. Degree College. The stage was conducted by Shri Ramesh Bharti. Faculty members and students from LL.B.(Hons.), B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) & LL.M. were present.
