Carrer Counselling and Placement Cell
The Career Counseling Cell of the College is a UGC-sponsored body that plays a vital role in bridging the gap between education and employment, helping students transition from the classroom to the workforce successfully. It helps students make informed career decisions and find suitable employment opportunities. Some of the key responsibilities of a career counseling and placement cell include:
- Providing career guidance and counseling to students and graduates, helping them understand their skills, interests, and career goals.
- Organizing career development workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance students’ employability skills, such as resume writing, interview preparation, and networking.
- Facilitating interactions between students and potential employers through job fairs, campus recruitment drives, and industry networking events.
- Collaborating with industry partners and recruiters to understand their hiring needs and connect them with qualified candidates
- Maintaining a database of job openings, internships, and other career opportunities and assisting students in applying for these positions.
- Offering personalized career coaching and mentoring to help students navigate the job search process and make informed career decisions.
- Providing support and resources for students and graduates who are exploring entrepreneurship or freelancing opportunities
- Monitoring and evaluating the career outcomes of graduates and using this data to improve the effectiveness of career counseling and placement services
