The Department of Political Science at CMP Degree College, established in the year 1956, has stood as a beacon of academic excellence and intellectual growth for over half a century. Renowned for its illustrious faculty members and a comprehensive array of academic programs, this department has played a pivotal role in shaping the minds of countless students, nurturing their passion for political science, and fostering a deep understanding of the subject.

At present there are 08 permanent faculty members from almost all the specialized fields of Political Science. One of the department's most notable faculty members was Dr. Kusum Lata, a distinguished scholar whose research contributions in the field of political theory have gained international recognition. Her thought-provoking insights into political ideologies and the philosophical underpinnings of governance have enriched the academic discourse not only within the college but also in the broader academic community.

Dr. R. P. Singh, another luminary in the department, was a seasoned expert in International Relations and diplomacy. With a career spanning decade, he has advised governments on matters of foreign policy and has been a sought-after speaker at numerous conferences. Dr. S. K. Agrawal, a stalwart in the study of comparative politics, has been instrumental in fostering a global perspective among students. Dr. Agarwal also served as a Principal of the College from 2014 to 2015.

DEPARTMENTAL LIBRARY:

The Department has its own library where the books are donated by the Ex faculty and the teachers in the department. it has books which are issued to the student of PG level.
