About the Cell

The SC/ST Cell of C.M.P. Degree College has been constituted in compliance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India and the University Grants Commission (UGC) to safeguard the interests of students belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories. The Cell acts as a dedicated redressal forum, ensuring that eligible students receive timely support in matters related to scholarships and overall welfare, and that no student faces discrimination on the basis of caste within the campus.

Objectives & Scope

Addressing matters related to scholarships and financial assistance available to SC/ST students.
Ensuring the overall welfare, guidance and support of students from the reserved category throughout their academic journey.
Acting as a redressal forum for any grievance or complaint raised by SC/ST/OBC students regarding discrimination or related issues on campus.
Guiding students to make optimal use of schemes and benefits offered by the State Government, Government of India and the UGC.
Sensitising teaching and non-teaching staff towards the constitutional mandate concerning SC/ST/OBC welfare.

How to Lodge a Complaint

Any aggrieved student belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category can bring a grievance to the notice of the Cell through any of the following ways:

In Person

Approach the Chairperson or any Committee Member directly at the college.

Written Complaint

Submit a written complaint at the Principal's office addressed to the SC/ST Cell.

Online Form

Fill out the complaint form on this page and submit it to the Cell.

On receiving a complaint, the Committee shall convene within a reasonable period, hear the aggrieved party, and communicate its findings to the Principal.
