About IIC
The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) of C.M.P. Degree College, Prayagraj, was established in 2022 under the initiative of the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell with the objective of systematically fostering a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and creative problem-solving among students and faculty members.
The council serves as a dynamic platform to nurture innovative ideas and transform them into viable solutions and entrepreneurial ventures. It actively promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and encourages students to think beyond conventional academic boundaries.
Since its inception, the IIC has grown into a vibrant body comprising more than 50 members, including dedicated faculty, student innovators, and over 30 trained Innovation Ambassadors. The council has consistently demonstrated excellence through its active engagement in innovation-driven activities and capacity-building programmes.
The IIC regularly organizes a wide range of events such as workshops, expert lectures, hackathons, field visits, idea competitions, and outreach programmes in schools. These initiatives aim to develop critical thinking, design thinking, and entrepreneurial skills among students while connecting them with real-world challenges.
The IIC also works in close coordination with the Research & Development Cell and other academic departments to promote research-oriented innovation and startup culture within the institution.
Through its continuous efforts, the IIC at C.M.P. Degree College strives to empower students to become job creators rather than job seekers, contributing effectively to the vision of a self-reliant and innovation-driven India.

Innovation & Creativity
Encouraging students to generate novel ideas and develop creative solutions through ideation sessions, competitions, and innovation challenges.
Entrepreneurship Development
Promoting entrepreneurial mindset by organizing workshops, startup awareness programmes, and interactions with successful entrepreneurs.
Skill Development
Conducting training programmes, expert lectures, and hands-on workshops to enhance technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Research & Development
Bridging the gap between academic research and practical applications by encouraging interdisciplinary research and innovation-driven projects.
Startup & Incubation
Providing guidance, mentoring, and support for transforming innovative ideas into startups through incubation and networking opportunities.
Industry–Academia Link
Strengthening linkages with industries to provide exposure to real-world challenges, internships, and collaborative projects.
IPR Awareness
Promoting awareness about patents, copyrights, and technology transfer to protect and commercialize innovations.
Social & Rural Innovation
Encouraging solutions for societal challenges, especially in rural areas, focusing on sustainability, environment, and community development.
Govt. Initiative Promotion
Aligning activities with Startup India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Digital India to contribute to national development goals.
